Accommodations, Tours and Transportation

Modification Policies

• Modifications 24-48hrs from the time of service must be directed to our operations office +506 2645-6564 or info@transportesfreylid.com

• Any services or modifications requests will not be confirmed until customer makes new payments arrangements, if there is a price increase, and Transportes Freylid provides customer with confirmations.

• We are happy to accommodate any service modifications made up to 24 hours from the time of the Service; the only fees, penalties, and time restrictions Transportes Freylid will impose on the customer are those which are imposed by the applicable service providers and not under our control.

• Rates are subject to change without notice in case the customer requests service modifications. 

Cancellation Policies

• All cancellation requests must be received by email and penalties may apply info@transportesfreylid.com

• If cancellation is requested less than 24 hours prior to the date of service, will be charged 100%. if 24 or more hours, no charge. The only fees and penalties Transportes Freylid will impose on the customer are those which are imposed by the applicable service providers and not under our control.

• Cancellation penalties are handled on a case-by-case basis as not all providers have the flexibility to offer this in every case.

• No refunds for no-shows or unused portions of services or packages. This will be penalized with 100% of the value of the services; without the option of refund or the application of payment for other services.

Reservation Policy

• In order to guarantee the reservation, it is necessary to cancel 50% of the total amount of the reservation.

Children Policy

• All children under 12 years, according to current Costa Rican law, must use car seat or booster seat. Please indicate the age of the children on the reservation to assign the appropriate device to age.

Impossibility of Performance

• No refunds due to airline delays, strikes, political unrest, or acts of God including hurricanes, fire, flood, lockout, the order of government authorities, bad weather, or any reasonable circumstance beyond its control.

• Transportes Freylid hereby reserves the right to modify the schedules, departure or arrival points, or cancel any service for reasons beyond our control.

Shared Shuttles

• The pick-up time may vary in about 20 minutes depending on road traffic.

• The driver will wait a maximum of 10 minutes at the pick-up location for a passenger as this is shared service. If passenger doesn't show 10 minutes passed the pick-up time they will be considered No Show and 100% of the service will be charged.

• Each passenger is allowed one carry-on (handbag) and one piece of luggage (suitcase). Additional payment is required for each extra luggage, or large items and must be previously reserved.

• Surfboards are accepted according to available space and must be reported when booking your shuttle. Additional payment is required.

• We will not transport passengers in an alcohol or drug state. 

• Carry-on items are the passenger's responsability during the whole trip and should remain with the passenger. This includes carry-on items incorrectly placed inside the luggage compartment. 

• We are not responsible for lost, forgotten or damaged items.

• Shuttles include a 20 minute rest stop for passengers and driver, stopping points are established by Transportes Freylid. This stop may be a connection point or may involve a change of vehicle depending on the route.

• Pets are not allowed in transfers, with the exception of guide dogs accompanied by their owners, this information must be indicated when making the reservation.

• Fragile and perishable items will be accepted only if the passenger agrees to release Transportes Freylid from liability for damage due to spoilage or delay.

• Transportes Freylid is not responsible for damage to contents if the outside of the hard-sided case is not damaged.

Private Transport

• The driver will wait a maximum of one hour at the pick-up location without extra charge, after this time Transportes Freylid will charge $20.00 per extra hour of waiting, if the client does not show up, it will be reported as No Show and will be penalized 100% the cost of the service plus the extra hours for waiting.

• Private transfers include a courtesy hour to make a stop on route where passengers can take time to eat, shop, take pictures, etc.

• Transportation services that must be operated between 9:00 pm and 4:00 am have an extra charge of $20.00 on the total rate.

• Pets are not allowed in transfers, with the exception of guide dogs accompanied by their owners, this information must be indicated when making the reservation.

• We will not transport passengers in an alcohol or drug state.

• Transportes Freylid is not responsible for damage to contents if the outside of the hard-sided case is not damaged. 

Disclaimer

• Transportes Freylid will not be held liable directly or indirectly for any loss or damage from activities under the control of other agents or service providers including but not limited to claims for death, personal injury delays or additional expenses that may arise when using a service arranged through us.

• Transportes Freylid will not be held responsible for schedule changes in ferry or water taxi services, nor for accidents and/or loss of baggage during the trip on the ferry or water taxi.

• Transportes Freylid will endeavor to carry you and your baggage with reasonable dispatch, but times shown in itinerary or elsewhere are not guaranteed and form no part of any contract. Transportes Freylid may, without notice, substitute alternate contractors, change routes and, if necessary, may alter or omit stopping places shown on the confirmation. Schedules are subject to change without notice. Transportes Freylid is not responsible for or liable for failure to make connections or to operate any shuttle according to schedule or for a change to the schedule of any shuttle service. Under no circumstances shall Transportes Freylid be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages arising from the foregoing.

• Passengers agree that any dispute about liability will be decided in a court of law in Costa Rica. In any case, Transportes Freylid’s liability for loss, damage or delayed delivery of checked or transferred baggage is limited to the actual value of the baggage or $100.00, whichever is less. Even if the passenger declares a higher value, Transportes Freylid will not cover more than the sum of $100.00.

• When practicing in adventure activities, and/or visiting wilderness areas or other places where a tour enters or takes place, tour participant attests and assumes the risks and dangers inherent to these areas and activities.

• Liability for death or personal injuries to passengers is limited to contract conditions with suppliers and insurance coverage subscribe by the company, according to the laws of Costa Rica, in effect at the moment of the accident.

Indemnity

• You acknowled and agree participating in each of the requested services and related activities at your own risk. 

• You are responsible for all that may occur during travel; you agree to indemnify and hold Transportes Freylid, its subsidiaries and affiliates officers, partners, directors, employees, owners, agents, succesors and assignees harmless from and againts any loss damage liability cost or expense of any kind that you may incur in connecting with a third party claim as of your use of our advice or recommendation services.

• You acknowledge and agree that the Transportes Freylid indemnified parties have performed a responsable job into helping put together connections with third-party service providers that suit your stated preferences, but that in each occasion the last decision to select these services and third-party service providers is exclusively the customers decision.
